What's In My School Bag?

Hello everybody! School's back in session, and it's almost as if you can hear every school-aged kid groan and cry while the parents secretly rejoice. My first day was on the third of September, and it went surprisingly decent. It definitely wasn't fantastic, but it wasn't horrific either. That's kind of how school is for me. It's neither great or awful, it's usually just an okay, normal day.

Since I've been in school for about a week and a half now, I have all of my school supplies, so I thought I would do a "What's In My School Bag?" post. I've seen this tag as a YouTube video, but I don't like the idea of myself becoming a YouTuber, so I thought I'd blog about it. So without further ado, my school bag:

One of its many pockets is this nice little organizer pocket.

It's in the front of the backpack, and it's where I like to put my pens, pencils, highlighters, etc

The main pocket is huge! It can fit so many things without becoming bulky, which is definitely one of my favorite parts.

I need my trusty calculator for Chemistry and Algebra 2, so it's always in my backpack. (And can we take a moment to talk about the color? I love it.)

Throughout my many years of school, I've learned that one subject notebooks are usually better than three or five subjects, unless you're in a class with a whole bunch of reading notes, or other work, but the teacher will tell you that on the first day.

I personally try to avoid binders at all costs, but I usually end up having one or two anyways. The black binder is my choir binder, and since it's only half an inch, it's super easy to carry around, so that's not a problem. My white binder is my English binder, and if we don't use it very much, then I'll be very annoyed.

The inside of my English binder. I have five tabs, four pockets, and my spiral. I actually kind of like this binder, but I'll never admit to that. It's "Heavy duty industrialized" or something like that, so it shouldn't fall apart as quickly as a typical binder would.

As I said above, I really don't like binders, so for each class I have a different folder, and then I always have one folder full of notebook paper for assignments and such. I don't get the paper folders, as they rip easily, so I go with nice, plastic folders. I really like the Mead/Five Star brand, as they have great quality and colors.

I usually have a book in my backpack for whenever I have time to read during the day. I usually read it if I finish a quiz/test/assignment early, or I usually get to school about ten minutes early, so I sit in my first period a read a little.

The last thing in my backpack to show you is my planner/agenda. This is such an important thing to have, and if your school doesn't supply you with one, then I highly recommend that you go and buy one. I put everything into my planner, and it really helps me to keep on track of things.

There's my school bag for you! Compartments not pictured include a fleece-lined laptop holder in the main compartment, a smaller pocket in front of the organizational pocket, and a fleece-lined sunglasses/phone holder pocket at the top. I love my backpack so much because you can fit so many things in it without it looking bulky. I also like how the bottom looks like leather, so I know that it won't rip and tear easily. I give this backpack a definite 9.5/10. The only reason it's not getting a 10/10 is because the zippers aren't the easiest to unzip, but the get smoother the more you use them.
