Juding Popular Sitcom Relationships Based on a Gut Feeling
I’m not going to lie to you, I rarely watch shows that are not sitcoms. I made it two episodes into Succession before yeeting because I simply wanted the comfort of a goofy comedy. I feel like the shows in this post are some of the most well known sitcoms, or at least they’re some of my favorite shows to rewatch in the background while I do something else. Also, I’m not including Schitt’s Creek in this list because it doesn’t feel like a sitcom to me; it’s just a funny show. Fight with me in the comments. Also, this post has been sitting fully written (except the intro) in my drafts for weeks, so someone please clap for me finally posting this. Thank you so much. I did no planning for this or research of any kind because I am tired and lazy and I hope my half-assed thoughts are amusing. If they’re not, then oh well.
Andy and April: 10/10. Work surprisingly well together. Love them.
Ben and Leslie: 10/10. Superior.
Ann and Chris: 6/10. They’re both pretty but I don’t see the appeal. They seemed happy at the end though, so good for them.
Andy and Ann: 1/10. Too hard to say. She did everything !!! and he did nothing. Justice for Ann.
Tom and Jean-Ralphio: 7/10. They were in love right?
Jim and Pam: 7/10. Too long of will they/wont they (annoyed me). Also lowkey the cheating trope. They had random drama in the end season for no reason (boo). Their wedding ep was so beautiful and they love each other a lot so yeah, a 7/10. Fight me.
Dwight and Angela: 5/10. Too much cheating for my soft soul. It’s a no from me, dawg. But I’m glad they were endgame because they were surprisingly a good match for each other.
Andy and Erin: -6/10. Gross. Andy was a stunted man child and they were so weird together.
Erin and Gabe: -285940/10. Worst couple of all time. Get away from me. Literally just thinking about Gabe makes me want to walk into traffic. I keep shivering. I need to move on.
Kelly and Ryan: 2/10. Kelly deserved better!!!!!!!!! No more subpar men for girlbosses!!!
Phyllis and Bob: 6/10. He paid a thousand dollars for one of her hugs. Try to tell me that’s not true love. However, I feel like they would call me a slur.
Nick and Jess: 6/10. They’re there. They’re fine. Nothing to write home about even though they were the main push of the show. Could not give any shits about them as a couple.
Cece and Schmidt: 8/10. They were really cute eventually, but the cheating storyline knocks them down from a nine or ten for me. Once they get engaged though they’re a solid 9.5/10.
Nick and Schmidt: 9/10. They were in love and they are soulmates. Argue with the wall.
Winston and Ally: 9/10. Somehow they work? They’re cute and goofy and I would die for them. But they’re cops, so they cannot be a 10/10.
Winston and Ferguson: 10/10. So fucking weird but such a mood.
Marshall and Lily: 10/10. A solid couple. Both Marshall and Lily are bicons and you cannot convince me otherwise.
Ted and Robin: -10/10 Absolutely NOT. Disgusting. The worst plot. The darkest timeline. Ruined the entire show with the ending.
Barney and Robin: 9/10. They made each other better people!! They were cute and endgame, idgaf about the last three episodes.
Ted and The Mother: 2/10. I literally can’t even remember the mother’s name because the whole story was just Ted being in love with Robin. The show should have been called “Hey Kids I Know Your Mom Died, But I’ve Been In Love With Robin For 25 Years.” HKIKYMDBIBILWR25Y. So catchy.
Mateo and Jeff: 3/10. Mateo could have done so much better. Jeff was annoying like 97 percent of the time.
Amy and Jonah: 6/10. The yearning was really cute at the beginning, but they had like no chemistry when they got together. I kept forgetting that they were dating when they were canon. They had a good ending though.
Garrett and Dina: 9/10. They’re cute. They work well together and I love their ending.
Cheyenne and Bo: 8/10. Chaotic icons tbfh.
Jonah and Kelly: 4/10. Kelly deserved better!! Jonah was in love with Amy the whole time!! Justice for all these women in sitcoms.
Amy and Adam: 2/10. Glad they got divorced. Adam was so fucking boring. Please go grill a personality or get outta here.
Did your favorite sitcom pairing make the list? How would you rate them?
